Select one course from each category. One Physical or Life Science course must include a laboratory experience (underlined). Courses in area B-4 must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

AREA C: ARTS, LITERATURE, PHILOSOPHY AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES

Select Engl 3,(if planning on transferring to San Jose State Univeristy) and one course from area C-1, and one additional course different discipline) from area C-2. All others select one course from C 1 and one course from C-2 and one additional course (different discipline) from either C-1 or C-2.

A maximum of 2 units of Physical Education activity courses may be used to complete Area E.

AREA F: AMERICAN INSTITUTIONS (F1-2-3)

US 1-3 American Institutions - Select a combination of courses that fulfill the requirements for US 1-3.
US 1, Historical Development of American Institutions.
US 2, Constitution of the United States and the operation of representative democratic government under the constitution.
US 3, The process of California state and local government.
HIST 7 - US 1
History 7 partially fulfills US 2 & 3 and is acceptable for full certification with History 8 or POLI 7
