AREA B: PHYSICAL UNIVERSE AND ITS LIFE FORMS

Select one course from each category. One Physical or Life Science course must include a laboratory experience (underlined). Courses in area B-4 must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

B-1: Physical Science

Astronomy 2; Chemistry 2, 3, 4, 6, 10; Geology 1, 2; Physical Science 4; Phys 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 10

B-2: Life Science

B-3: Laboratory Activity

Students must select at least one laboratory experience (see underlined courses in areas B-1 and B-2).

No more than one unit of Physical Education Activity Courses may be used to meet this requirement.

AREA F: AMERICAN INSTITUTIONS (F1-2-3)

US 1-3 American Institutions - Select a combination of courses that fulfill the requirements for US 1-3.
US 1, Historical Development of American Institutions.
US 2, Constitution of the United States and the operation of representative democratic government under the constitution.
US 3, The process of California state and local government.
Students must complete one of the sequences of courses listed below in order to meet the American Institutions Requirement.
