Transfer Information Program

The Transfer Information Program (TIP) is a one-day program that will acquaint you with the campus, introduce you to your College and major department, and provide you with critical academic planning information. SJSU faculty and staff will:
- Discuss and explain key university services
- Review what’s next before you start classes
- Provide a General Education advising workshop
- Explain SJSU Studies General Education requirements and preparation for the Writing Skills Test
- Introduce you to your College and major academic advising
To get the most out of your day, bring any college transcripts, GE certifications, placement test scores, and your TAA contract if applicable.

Can’t Attend? Then....
- Call your major department for an advising appointment.
- Go to www.sjsu.edu/visit and sign up for a campus tour.
- Stop by the Student Services Center at the corner of 10th Street and San Fernando. Admissions, enrollment, evaluations, general education advising, payment and other university services are located here.
