The interdisciplinary minor in Asian Studies provides a fascinating introduction to the cultures of East, South and Southeast Asia. Moreover, students are presented with an understanding of these cultures through courses from a wide range of scholarly disciplines, including foreign languages (Chinese, Japanese, Punjabi or Vietnamese), humanities and arts (art history, music, philosophy, religion), and social sciences (anthropology, geography, history, politics). Students majoring in any area of the social sciences or humanities, business or education, and so forth can benefit from the enhanced understanding of Asian cultures that the program offers.
