Opportunities available to a graduate of a major in the College of Humanities and the Arts will be varied. Employers are increasingly aware of the talents of a liberally educated person - one skilled in analytic, creative, critical reasoning, and effective communication. As a preparation for law, business, medicine, theology, librarianship, journalism, publishing, radio and television, teaching and administration, among other professions, a liberal education is highly valued. Continual practice in writing and wide reading teaches students to think and write clearly, important assets for any career.
