Justice Studies

The Justice Studies department prepares students for positions of responsibility and leadership in the justice system. The degree is designed to develop the high level of academic, personal and professional competency demanded in the contemporary criminal justice system.

Founded in 1930, the Justice Studies program is the oldest academic program of its kind, and has consistently been rated among the nation's best. The program offers both a bachelor's and master's degree, as well as a pre-law concentration. Most of the program's graduates obtain jobs within their chosen fields and remain in the Bay Area. A large number of local managers and top executives throughout the justice system are program graduates.

Why this outstanding record of success?

The result is graduates ready to assume positions of authority throughout the justice system, or to continue their education in graduate or law school.
