Lower division transfers (Frosh/Sophomore)
The California State University has placed enrollment restrictions on lower division transfers. The following information is subject to change without notice.
To transfer with fewer than 60 transferable semester units (90 quarter units) you must:
- Declare one of the approved majors in the College of Engineering or in Nursing.
- Submit your high school transcript.
- You must be a high school graduate.
- Submit SAT I or ACT scores, unless your high school GPA was above 3.00 (3.60 for non-residents).
- Meet high school course requirements and make up any deficiencies on a course-by-course basis, usually by completing general education courses with grades of "C" or better.
- Meet the GPA/test score eligibility index required of freshmen.
- Earn at least a 2.00 grade point average in all transferable courses completed.
- Be in good standing at the last college attended.
If you completed college units before graduating from high school or during the summer between high school and CSU enrollment, you are considered a first-time freshman and must meet frosh requirements.
