Geology of the Monterey Bay Region

Description
Geology, tectonic, and active naturally occurring processes in the Monterey Bay region and in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The geologic and tectonic history of central California, plate tectonic processes, and representative stratigraphy and geomorphology of the Monterey Bay region. Prerequisite: Graduate standing; instructor consent. Misc/Lab: Lecture 2 hours; lab/field work 6 hours. Notes: Offered alternate fall semesters.
