Scientific Computing I

Description
Computer systems and programming, emphasizing solution of problems in atmospheric sciences. Includes computer systems, flow diagrams, UNIX and C FORTRAN programming, mass data handling and formatting. Prerequisite: MATH 030 . Corequisite: MATH 031, METR 060, PHYS 050 (or CHEM 001A and METR 060 for Climate Science Concentration). Misc/Lab: Lecture 1 hour/Lab 3 hours.
