MATH 226

Theory of Numbers

Description
Advanced topics in number theory selected by the instructor. Emphasis may be in algebraic number theory (e.g. Diophantine equations), analytic number theory (e.g. the prime number theorem), and/or computational number theory (e.g. cryptography). Prerequisite: MATH 126 and MATH 128A or instructor consent. Notes: Alternate years.
