Description
Definite and indefinite integration with applications. Sequences and series. Graphical, algebraic and numerical methods of solving problems.
Prerequisite: MATH 30 or MATH 30P (with a grade of "C-" or better). Concurrent enrollment in MATH 31W. Students who register for MATH 31, Calculus II, are required to register for MATH 31W, Calculus II Workshop, concurrently. If you wish to drop MATH 31W, you must complete the appropriate forms in the Math Department Office. In the past students who have participated regularly in precalculus and calculus workshops have passed their courses more than 75% of the time, while students who have not taken workshops only pass their courses about 40% of the time. All MATH 31 students are strongly encouraged to take MATH 31W. In the workshop, students work in small groups solving problems to help build their skill and confidence in problem solving.
