Description
Atomic and crystal structures; imperfections and atom movement; phase equilibria and transformations; boundaries; heat treatment of metals; mechanical, physical and chemical properties of engineering materials. Prerequisite: CHEM 1A; PHYS 70 or PHYS 50; MATH 31. Misc/Lab: Lecture 2 hours/lab 3 hours.
