Computational Fluid Dynamics

Description
Physical and mathematical foundations of computational fluid mechanics with emphasis on applications. Solution methods for the advection, diffusion model equations, the Euter and the Navier-Stokes equations. The finite volume formulation of the equations. Classification of partial differential equations and solution techniques. Truncation errors, stability analysis. Prerequisite: MATH 129A, AE 160 with a grade of 'C-' or better in each. or Graduate Standing.
